New Activities for 2025 -
The AWSC is so excited to collaborate with the New London Public Museum to present a three weeklong exhibit beginning August the 4th on the American Water Spaniel and history of the AWSC. On August the 13th from 10-12 the New London Public Library will be hosting our members and dogs to meet and greet with the public in anticipation of our national events. If you and your dog would like to participate in this event, please reach out to Brooke Broderick at brooke.broderick@yahoo.com.
The club will be offering a hands-on Fast CAT demonstration. Fast CAT - which stands for Coursing Ability Test is a timed 100-yard dash where dogs run one at a time, chasing a lure. It's over before you know it - and it's nothing short of awe-inspiring to watch your dog run at top speed, ears back, eyes focused, legs strong. For the hands-on demo, we’ll be shortening the course to 50 yards and all members and their dogs are encouraged to participate.
Volunteers needed – as always, your help is needed to make this event a success. Please contact Pat Oldenburg at BarkyAWs@gmail.com if you can help, would like to donate items, have ideas, suggestions and/ or questions.
